Through roundtables, project exchanges, high-level discussions, and capital matching, we combined the resources of Asia-Pacific governments, business organizations, and academic institutions to enable all pertinent parties to jointly promote the economic development of the global internet of vehicles industry and other cutting-edge industries within the framework of APEC. We also promoted the sound and coordinated development of the global internet of vehicles industry.

The project has resulted in an outcome document:White Paper of Internet of Vehicles.

Academician Chen Qingquan, academician Guo Wei, academician Gao Wen from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and chief advisor Nicholas Brooke from APEC Business Advisory Council were invited to the event to discuss creating a more intelligent form of transportation in the context of urbanization, globalization, and the connected age. Experts, academics, and business leaders from China Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, Shanghai Academy of Development & Reform, Haitong Securities, and other organizations were also invited.

APEC PPSTI JiaDing Declaration on Internet of Vehicles, the project’s outcome text, was published and included in the 2017 APEC Ministerial Joint Declaration.
